Jupyter Notebook: Explore the Windowed DFT

August 9, 2019 by

In this activity you will use frequency in cycles per sample and Hz to plot the spectrum and explore the spectrum of a signal that is nearly periodic - a saxophone playing a single note, concert "A". You will also learn how the main lobe and side lobe properties of windows affect the spectrum computed using the DFT.
